I am Overwhelmed by A Love That Hugs My Heart. A Dedication to NClark140

For your fortitude; your beautiful smile; your courage in the face of adversity.

The pangs of life, can sometimes feel like chaos.

Yet while the flesh stings and the pain bleeds,

I find myself overwhelmed,

By a Delight that hugs my Heart;

Rains tears of joy,

Within the magnificence of the Soul.

Here in this barren land of dark shadows,

I am pierced with arrows;

Barbed wires of broken dreams.

Yet, like the Phoenix, I rise aloft,

Take wings on the Apollo;

Land and dance on the crescent moon.

Beloved, where is this darkness of which men speak?

Rent asunder by ails and pulled by struggles,

The celestial rays of the Light-Bringer

Still cradles my chasms;

The drums of its supernal fire,

Carries a Lantern to my Heart.

I know; I know, my Beloved, that ALL is Your Tapestry;

I drink from the Chalice of Fire,

Only to illuminate my Path.

Still I rise; A Candela of splendour enfolds my Heart.

I am inebriated, lost in Bliss,

My pain sweetened, by Your perennial Love.

" I drink from the chalice of fire. Only to illuminate my path. " These words remind me how Lord Shiva drank the poison and left the nectar and other peerless things for others.

Brother, I just quoted a lone gem out of many glittering gems of this beautiful necklace you presented onto the page.

Great Rumi's words are immortal and will be always remembered when we talk of love. A lovely hub and a great dedication indeed. Voted up.

Hi Harish,

You're very nice to me. Thank you so much!

"glittering gems of this beautiful necklace." Much poetic beauty here. It is so exquisite that I'll have to use this sometime.

Actually I said something like this before and did use it in the very last line of my poem. I gave you credit, but I don't recall you visiting that one.

Rumi I am tremendously fond of. Someone I know has said that Rumi has never used a single word out of place, and I totally agree.

Hope that all's well on this beautiful Sunday evening with you and yours. Namaste! Om Namo Shivaya and Hari Om Tat Sat!! Om Shanti!! Too much? Not at all, Bro, not at all.

You may be overwhelmed by love but I am overwhelmed by this beautifully written poem. Your ability to use words and metaphors to describe these feelings of love are genius. Hit many buttons and voted up my friend. What a talented writer you are!

Well, well, what a beautiful sentiment and contribution! I knew of you before but I'm not sure what happened. Will look you up after work later.

I really respect this appreciation of my poems and perhaps you will like some of the really sublime or lofty ones also. Gratitude and Higher blessings.

The light shines through your words! This is beautifully said Manatita. Sometimes it is hard to see the light or know it is there, but it does shine through.

Voted up, useful, and awesome.
