Doe eyes .......

There are so many ways to use
every primal sense
in this world of waiting
Journey with me into this realm
of nature
As there is
No room here for disappointment
Taking my hand away from the pine bark
and scent the pitch
on my fingers
Caress the maple leaves and away
from this touch runs
new morning dew
slipping down my forearm
Bend to move the moss
covered stone
and reveal the musky odor
of earth
My earth
or yours it makes not
one matter
It's all the same one
Don't search for other living souls
for they are all right here
Listen
listen
They call out to you
The cardinals' sweet song
or the hawks
shrill whistle
Or by surprise you
may find the deep brown of
doe eye's
camouflaged among
the stillness
Or perhaps by surprise
sweet surprise.....
wading in the stream in soft flowing
gown pulled up around her
knees
An angel of the
waters
Smiling........
Just for me
Doe eye's

I am already feeling the musky odor of the earth! Lovely piece! voted up and shared!

True satisfaction certainly lies in the beauty of simple earthly things and the beauty becomes mesmerizing when we are able to sense it!!

For this one you get all three. Voted up, awesome and beautiful. How lovely. You reminded me of my childhood summers spent in the Catskills surrounded by pine scented woods.

Listen, I could swear I have already commented on this...Did someone steal it? I even remember what I said. How I felt like I was there, and could feel the senses as you mentioned them. I'm baffled.

A great poem. Is this for the 'one a day' for the month? If so, congratulations! I gave up a few days ago - not enough time. Voted up.

Just a lovely poem. All of the nature description caused my shoulders to relax. As I imagined myself wandering through the forests, I noticed my shoulders were no longer tight.

Poetry as sublime language and ethereal beauty, but also as therapy. Theresa SHARING
