In the Garden: A Poem

Like a bird set free from her cage,

I look back on my life,

It was so full of strife,

Yet I long for it like a gone by age.

Some people tell me the past has passed,

Forgive, forget, and keep on going,

But my heart is still healing in its cast,

The seeds of future are now only sowing...

God show me that what was not meant to last,

Is because of your purpose you have set before me,

Lord, give me clarity to see as you see,

And let the mistakes echo only in my past

I loved your wordplay such as past has passed; seeds of future are now only sowing...so true.

No, I can't take the credit. I found it at weheartit.com.

Okay. Ty. I thought it kind of evoked the impression of a sensitive young lady with a fashionable haircut, that you would identify with (maybe?).

That's a good point. I do usually wear short hair like her. :)

Well, my wife keeps hers trimmed similarly, too.

Blessings.
