Infinite I

written by Bill Carr

In the quiet of the evening When the sun has gone to rest,

It's so peaceful in the country - That's the time that I love best.

And somewhere over yonder ridge I hear a whippoorwill.

The wind sifts gently through the trees And all is calm and still.

The vastness of the universe And the wonder of it all

Have never ceased to humble me And make me feel quite small.

The Master if His wondrous plan Knows each star in the sky,

And still has time to touch the life Of someone as small as I !

How true, how beautiful! The quiet of the country is a prayer by itself. Thanks for posting this here, G-Ma, for our benefit.

Yes the country side holds a bliss that's lost in the humdrum of city life...how true.
