Inheritance from Mom

My Gift

Dedicated to Nellie, JP and Sissy

My gift to you seemed bare

In a time of much despair

Left with memories of pain

There was no way to explain

But for you I buried deep

A faith for you to keep

A model of love I tried to teach

With hope in your heart it did reach

Treasure

It is not a dollar you will hold and then spend

Or an statue for a shelf in the den

But a gift that brings wisdom and grace

This will give peace a permanent place

You will treasure it one day as did I

As you grow and are willing to comply

There is nothing you will find to compare

And you too will be compelled to share

Source

His Gift

So think of me and know

The love for you Christ did show

Because of Him I am living

It is He I am bequeathing

ahorseback, I couldn't agree with you more. I lost my mom at a very young age, but learned alot in a short time! This was an inheritance to last a lifetime:)

Timely ...there is nothing in this world equal to the love , especially from mother to child . My family came from nothing but we were lucky in that we were taught as you speak here!......Thank you for some fine memories!...:-}

Once my niece came to visit us and when it was dinner she prayed. I had not prayed, I felt shy but I remembered my Mum because that's what she taught her.

Thanks for sharing.

voted up & beautiful! Some things we can't leave to those that remain, but we can leave the most valuable gift of all a Personal Saviour...
