Innocence – The Vampire
He who thinks to play,
to protect the poor little girl.
Softly, I giggle aloud
thinking of he who is proud,
of his proffered protection,
his quasi disguised affection,
his manly demeanor ,
of a knight on a white horse.
What a surprise lover,
no damsel here.
It is I you should fear.
All will become clear.
Flying through the night
miles blur in my sight
to another land
where I will take your hand
and sweetly pout
giving innocence clout.
I find you through your thoughts.
So long have I listened to your musings
your longing confusion
your wish to be but illusion
while you thought it was I you guarded.
Tonight I finish what you started.
You drop the wine
before I dine…
“How did you get in lover?”
“The door was open.”
“I need you tonight.”
“What’s wrong dear? Are you afraid?”
Stroking my long hair so gently you whisper
“You’re safe dear. Nothing will harm you in my arms.”
As I gaze into your languid green eyes my lip trembles.
You think I am so fragile.
Exactly the kind of girl you were after,
innocent and sweet,
oh, so very meek.
Pulling me close you hold me tight in your arms
as I softly kiss your neck.
Smelling the warrior blood in your veins,
elongating my fangs,
swift as light I pierce your skin
Instantly drunk on the strong wine that flows.
As your strength quickly goes
you gasp “Why?”
Into your heart I send
that which to my will bends
“You are to be forever mine.”
“You came to me willingly.”
“You wanted to play.”
“You wanted to save me
and now you shall.”
As the last of your blood
flows through me, I cut my breast
holding your head to me.
Weak like a baby lion you drink.
With each pull your heart throbs.
I pick you up in my arms
to your destiny.
