Intolerable, the sway of words,
the lies veiled in a fashioned tone,
over hooks, sharp and jagged,
aligned to tear flesh off bone.
Unhinged the stark reality,
that pretense draws on truth,
when denial forces hardship's cause,
of sacrifice's gilded view.
When angel tears bathe strife on earth,
from those willing and life lost souls,
it is intent that means the difference,
for those selfish to deny, ignore.
For intent is all that balance asks,
in the paths of righteous men,
and the expression of all that truth imparts,
in the flow of life and death.
Choices are all we can grasp in life,
our words our bond and oath,
that kindness bind our motives true,
and lies not the hangman's rope.
Intolerable, the pain we cause ourselves,
when egos flight runs wild,
if not for the truth of inner light.
to recognise and abide in trial.
Self-knowledge is all we can attain here,
and true to ourselves we must be,
to live a strong and productive life,
and not in pain of past, repeat.
