Introducing: The Little Laughing Yogini by Brittney Hiller
Brittney was kind enough to update me on what is happening with the Little Laughing Yogini and as you will see, yoga is on the move (no pun intended :D ).
Brittney reports that she has created Yoga PlayShops ...this is an event that brings yoga into elementary schools. It provides the opportunity for children who may not have the opportunity to experience yoga to do so.
She opens with a reading of the Little Laughing Yogini which is a segway to yoga. The children are captivated and enthusiastic as they participate.
If you would like to help support her efforts you can go to the link provided in this hub.
This is one of Brittney's new ventures that is related to the Little Laughing Yogini...
Brittney~~Reading The Little Laughing Yogini
A delightful little book is now available to brighten the day of anyone who picks up a copy.
The Little Laughing Yogini offers a glimpse at finding real joy and it opens our eyes to the possibilities of yoga.
A young yogini searches for bliss with a new friend....as you turn the pages of Brittney's book, you will discover what happens.
This book will become one your whole family will enjoy. And like me, you may become inspired to give yoga a try.
Yoga, an ancient but perfect science, deals with the evolution of humanity. This evolution includes all aspects of one’s being, from bodily health to self-realization. Yoga means union—the union of body with consciousness and consciousness with the soul. Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions.— B.K.S. Iyengar
What is a yogini?
A yowhatini? That is what I thought...so obviously I had not been practicing yoga or even knew terms associated with it.
A yogini~~~ "A female yoga practictioner" ....from the Sanskrit...yogini..feminine derivative of yogin, yogi

My Journey with the Little Laughing Yogini and Brittney
My connection to yoga has been only a passing one over the years. I knew (I thought I knew) what it was but had never given it a try.
When I saw that Brittney had written this adorable book with something about yoga in the title, I was intrigued and began to explore. I looked on Vimeo and Youtube in search of her videos so that I might get a glimpse into the world of yoga.
Because of her charisma, I was hooked. I am not 12 any longer so some of the positions I will not use but there are many that I have begun to try, not the least of which is laughter yoga.
My journey has just begun into practicing yoga but am finding it is a most welcome addition to my day. It is so much more than positions and exercise...it is a way for me to lose myself from the distractors of life and find inner joy and peace that may have been missing.
A sense of humor... is needed armor. Joy in one's heart and some laughter on one's lips is a sign that the person down deep has a pretty good grasp of life.— Hugh Sidey

My Very Own Copy of This Adorable Book
The Little LaughingYogini
Brittney includes a few yoga techniques that were totally foreign to me in her book. And that was a good thing...she left questions unanswered which forced me to go in search of the answer.
For instance, the characters clapped 1, 2, 1, 2, 3 and while that may have been just part of the story, I suspected there was more to it than was evident at first. And the characters laughed together. And again, it caused me to wonder about how this connected to yoga perhaps on another level. (Go find the answers for yourself if you do not know; you will be glad you did.)
As I looked for my answers, I became more and more enchanted and knew this would be a new healing, uplifting part of my life.
You can find this book on Amazon ....it would be a lovely way to help children become interested in yoga and all that it offers.

One Day I MAY Have Been Able to Do This!!!
Go Find Your Bliss
Snuggle up with your loved ones and read The Little Laughing Yogini with them. You may find all of you begin yoga together.
It has been my pleasure to write this hub as I connected with a family member I have not seen in person since she was about 15ish. Brttney is my great-niece.
So having the opportunity to share her book and a bit about her with you is delightful. I feel as if I know her a bit by communicating with her on Facebook, in emails, and by watching her videos.
Take some time to watch some of her videos...her energy and vivaciousness will give you a renewed sense of new possibilities as you make your way through each day.
