Is The Beauty Of Life Lost?

When the world is ugly and full of hate, is the beauty of life lost?

When a hurricane hits a town, is the beauty of life lost?

When a child is hurt so bad, is the beauty of life lost?

When parents abandon that child, is the beauty of life lost?

When one is so lonely he takes his own life, is the beauty of life lost?

When pollution is so bad, one cannot see the sky, is the beauty of life lost?

When they take the trees just to have more wood, is the beauty of life lost?

This is something I do not know why.

Or, if I can't change it, will I cry?.

Hi Michelle, Very well written and stated. Beautiful.

The beauty of life is in your heart and mind,

If you look deep, it is something you will find.

When you feel that all else is lost,

Look deep, you will find "beauty of life" at no cost.

In my opinion, with out ugly, we would have nothing to measure beauty by, and while we may be sickend by the ugly, we still must have respect for it's place in our world.

This is beautiful, and it's from your soul.

Thank you Jim I was just trying to do something new. You know what most of my hubs are about, and I just wanted to see if I could do a poem. Thank you very much for your comment.

Hi Michele. This is a beautiful hub and a great message. There is an opposite to everything in this world, and we cannot know one without knowing or experiencing the other. This is great for Having not written poetry since highschool. Thanks for posting.

Very deep thoughts and quite moving. I believe we have to be more responsible stewards of the earth and of what we are given. Sustainability in using resources will only help our future grandchildren. AS you stated in losing a child, I suggest people love thier children every day and tell them often how much they do; you don't know what tomorrow will bring.

Thankyou for your comment teaches, I cannot agree with you more then people loving their children more every day and telling them, because you don't know what tomorrow will bring. Thank you once again for your comment.

If you can't change things, perhaps you can find beauty in acceptance. Voting this Up and Beautiful.

Beautiful. Looking at the sidebar HP adds with "similar" Hubs, raises the question of just how HP determines what is similar: poems with poems, 'beauty,' 'life' with the title of yours? So many times they don't seem to be well matched. What gives? Forum question, I guess. Thanks for your comment this morning.

Deep! Great questions for the concious mind. It's also sad as it is beautifully written.
