A soul of exile ......a poem

My Enchanting New Mexico
My Enchanting New Mexico

Intensely shy the boy grew to man
after all
who could but understand
Adrift in a sea of hearts
without one
of his own

And many arms reached to save
pulling him from the
rapid
decieving currents
This river of
life

And yet
the river claims many
a child
especially the hand that
lets go of the
savior

Yet it was a woman who pulled
me gasping and near
drowned yet still
clutching my soul
of exile

This is dedicated to woman.........after all they do save us , would we not still be dragging a club into a cave somewhere , grunting , growling and grumpy!

This is beautiful Ed! You're appreciation and gratitude for women is so darling... would you like to share this same sentiment with your man friends? :D

Love it!!!

Forgive you? Sure, I suppose, but that doesn't mean I excuse a man! Haha

I've been reminded of a song that I love. . .Travis Tritt's "The Love of a Woman" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RzF5eGZCDE
