It Is Time To Tackle That Dirty Laundry
We all Do It But Few Talk About it
We were busy all week and the our dirty clothes start to pile up
They look like little monuments when separated
From work clothes to darks and then there are the whites
They are a sore sight
There goes three hours of my day
If you have children you know this routine very well
A daily ritual that can bring the most dedicated moms to their knees
A task that has to be done
Faithfully without a lot of recognition
I do the laundry and my wife does the cooking
It might be different than most households
I have work pants that are just disgusting
Covered in who knows what
My wifes work clothes look so clean I want to hang them back up and say they are all washed and dried
Just give them a few sprits of frebreeze and throw them in the dryer for affect
Then there are all the whites and the towels that take the longest to dry
I use to love those big fluffy terry cloth towels but no more
They are so thick I have to do more loads because they are so big
Soon the piles will disappear and new piles will be stacked
These are good clothes clean and fresh ready to be put away and used again
The endless rat race that we all face
One that is hidden in every home across the country and through out the world
If someone else washed all our clothes that would be a real treat
Homemakers across the country that do laundry for elderly or the handicapped I give great gratitude
For my piles of dirty clothes and smelly socks can pack a whallop
That I am forced to do
When all is said and done
There is nothing like the smell of clean sheets and the wonderful sweet aroma of freshness
That makes us forget the dirty task we had to undertake
Until next time when our clothes connected end to end form a chain link fence made of cloth that desperately needs to be washed
There is hope
If I can train my cat to do my laundry then I can relax and sit back and have the afternoon off
