The Journey

Black darkness, dead of night - touch

Alone but not lost, nowhere

Cold, damp, hungry - tiredness

Edge of sanity, center of doubt

Searching for light and abandoning need

A new moon, an old forest - feel

Seeing with sound, still in motion

Fear, hope, tension - expectation

Clinging to danger, free of the life force

Knowing the time for death is far ahead

A familiar trail, a strange constellation - hold

Reading the past, reviewing the future

Divine, sacred, nocturnal - rapture

Carrying the weight, peace with all

Finding myself at last within my heart

Trembling, shaking

Frightened courage

Starving, falling

Weakened strength

Throbbing, numbing

Living yes, living

Not surviving but comforted

Living, as if in love

Cherishing, as if dying

Yearning, holding

Freedom confined

Agonizing, absolving

Forgiveness maligned

Lurid, cornered

Foresaken? Indeed

Anticipated but not prepared

Warm, as if in spirit

Loving, as if reborn!

Wow, I really love the way you put your words together. It almost like you are feeling the journey with a blindfold as opposed to seeing it and enhancing those experiences for the better.

Hookah, thank you for the comment. The blindfold is sometimes necessary for seeing what you don't realize is there.

Your feedback is much appreciated.
