Joy & his dear kitten Lucy
Lucy came , jumped on the bed,
Gently kissed little Joy 's head,
He was then sleeping and snoring .
She said to herself, What a shame !
Joy should now be playing game,
The snoring sound is so boring !
She whispered in Joy ’s ear,
‘ Wake up, wake up, quickly my dear,
the morning is so nice and gay ,
It's Sunday today, I am no fool,
you won’t have to go to school,
Wake up, lets now play ’ .
Joy opened his eyes , said ‘ My dear,
Sorry, no game, my exam is near,
I have now a lot of studies to do ’ ,
Lucy said ‘ O.K. get up then,
Bring your book, paper and pen,
I shall be here to help you ’.
Joy laughed and laughed loudly,
Said ‘ Lucy don’t talk proudly,
You can be of no help to me , ’
Lucy got angry, left the room,
Said ‘ I will surely return soon,
How much I know you will see !’
She came back , said ‘Take a look,
Here is your Mathematics book,
Give me any sum to do . ’
Surprised Joy, said ‘ Is it so ?
Then my dear just have a go,
Add up quickly one and two ’.
Lucy laughed, on a chair she sat,
Said ‘ My dear I am a clever cat,
Three is the answer you will find ’,
Joy got excited , ‘ Yes that's right ,
My dear Lucy , you are so bright ,
Teach me math if you are so kind ’.
Lucy felt proud , wagged her tail,
Said ‘ My students - they never fail,
I am your teacher right from now,
I shall teach you English too,
Grammar, spelling what have you ’
Joy was so happy, said - ‘ Wao !'
His mum said , ‘ Lucy , here is your food,
Come on , eat now and be good,
Thereafter you can both play .’
Lucy saw in the plate rice and fish,
Her favourite food she won’t miss,
Milk that followed made her day.,
Finishing his breakfast Joy came near,
He sat on the sofa , said ‘ My dear,
Should we now play or take rest ? ’
Lucy smiled, jumped on Joy’s lap,
Said ‘ lets both take a little nap
I think that will be best ’.
Later , Joy heard his mother scream,
He woke up to know it was a dream,
I'ts Monday morning, so boring !
The thought of school made him sad,
Oh what a beautiful dream he had !
Found Lucy on his bed sleeping and snoring !
