Just One More Cast...(a poem of inspiration)
Just a chance to be in the fresh air and sunshine,
Casting my bait out, and when the fishing's so fine.
The Spring day's scents are so fair, just sublime,
So very well spent, is this, my angling time.
Not a worry or frown, seen upon my face,
such a worthy opportunity found in this place.
No care about tomorrow, or the day before,
A glorious afternoon, on a sunny lake's shore.
As the sunset beckons me homeward,
I must make one more far cast,
This the lucky one, for a big fish waits,
Just one toss, better than the last.
Is so hard to leave my second home,
Each pond or stream out there,
For it's out here, my love so dear,
Where I have no worries or a care.
