Just a Hint of Springtime Poem

Just a hint of springtime

Just a Hint of springtime

Go with me and see all the beauty

that nature brings.

Just a hint of spring

Today was a beautiful day for

a walk.

Just nice enough to go around

the block.

The sun was shining brightly.

A little light breeze, a gentle

Kiss on the knees.

The first hints that spring is

near.

Birds were singing everywhere.

Everywhere we went, we met ladies

and gents.

Walking their dogs or pushing their

babies around the block.

The beauty that surrounds us is always

abundant.

So as you can see it was a nice walk indeed.

Just a hint of springtime

It is so wonderful to feel the hint of springtime. My loyal japonica is once again putting out rambunctious buds! It tried late in January and early in February, as is its custom -but severe freezing weather nipped them. But it is such a trouper that here it is, trying again. When my vision out the kitchen window is filled with its glorious coral colored blossoms, I will KNOW spring is really near.

I love autumn - probably because here in Texas it REALLY heats up in summertime and lasts interminably, so when the early cooling of autumn finally arrives, it is so welcome. But after a winter such as we've had (unusually frigid and icy) - the spring is so welcome too! There is nothing quite like the renewal of LIFE and appearance of green everywhere! Green is my favorite color and all the pretty flowers and birds - everything just FEELS so brand-new.

Thanks for the sweet reminder, Rhonda! And I love your illustration! It really captures it!

Ahh! Springtime, Fresh warm breezes- crisp clean air-I could just Inhale all day. I walked around my yard and garden and I could see the hyacinths and daffodils making there way to the surface-so I pulled the old wet leaves and fallen branches off-so they could see the sun-I could see them smile-with as much anticipation for warmth as me. And today- It's all windy and cold again :) Great poem
