Killing Your Spirit

There will be some things

In this life

That will try and

Kill your spirit

Little one

But you must fight them

Don't let them win

There will be some people

Who will strive to keep you

Enslaved

But you must fight

Little one

To save yourself

From the darkness

There are some times

That will make you want

To die little one

But you must

Keep on living

Fighting each day

To stay alive

And the day will come

When you will see

Why you have fought

All this time

Your poem is exquisite and very special. A loving rhythm to it too.

You have such beauty in your Heart, but permit me to say, watch the mind. The Heart is much stronger ...your spiritual Heart. Work with this. Never give up!

What do you think of using a different, more upbeat picture? Misunderstandings can see this in one way, but I'm approaching you here with Love. I can feel your beautiful Spirit.

Your poetry is well-penned and very meaningful. Happy Easter!!

Well done. It certainly rings like good advice to a little one. Maybe a little heavy for a 6 year old.

I think it is easy to get overwhelmed by negativity and we have to tell ourselves we are better than that.

This would be a great mantra to read to our own reflection in the mirror each morning.

Thank you Ruby. "Little One" could be seen as everyone's inner child. :)

Eric thank you for reading. :)

Blond thank you for your kind words. Yes, sometimes negativity can take over and you have to tell yourself that you deserve more. :)
