STOP THE WORLD, AND LET ME BREATHE ...by b. Malin

Stop the World and let me Breathe.

The Holiday Rush is like a disease.

No TIME to ENJOY...

No time to even Sneeze.

RUSH, RUSH, RUSH.

I'm on a Bob-Sled going Oh So Fast.

Down the Mountain of Life.

This is not a Blast.

RUSH, RUSH, RUSH...

I hear echoing in my Ear.

The HOLIDAY SEASON IS HERE!

So Stop the World and Let Me Breathe...

I'm taking a Deep Breath,

To wish you all lots of Success.

As you trudge to the Malls.

With Bells ringing Good Cheer.

Every year, I say, I'm going to do it a different way...

I'll buy in advance...

I won't take the chance.

No Rain Check for me.

RUSH, RUSH, RUSH.

With a MIXED FAMILY...

AND HANUKKAH, December first this year...

Oh, where, Oh where is my HANUKKAH CHEER?

THANK YOU CHRISTMAS...

For patiently waiting your turn.

You are next in line.

I PROMISE not to get far behind.

But I'd still like to take this time...

To wish one and all...

Whatever you Celebrate,

In Good Cheer,

A Happy Hanukkah.

And a Very Merry Christmas,

This Year!

When observing the spirit of the season and not the acts that others expect you find you don't have to rush or do anything that doesn't add to your ability to feel that spirit and become more in harmony with the season. But then you knew that.

Yes I did Jaggedfrost...just trying for a little fun and satire in the spirit of the season. But you Knew that, Right?

I figured as much but as they say, "the best way to kid a kidder is to take them seriously." lol heaven knows I would be in trouble if you applied that to some of my satire. I liked it all the same.

That time of year again, times flies - when it's rush and rush some more! It's a life of rush most days but more of it as we come close to start of the end of year festivities. Thanks for sharing these thoughts.

I am glad and I will never disappointed if I can help it or I see something that I feel equal to contributing to.

I was just thinking this way on Black Friday...oh so glad I wasn't out there. I was home devising a plan that I can just wish my holiday shopping to be done and enjoy the season. Its all in my heart. I'd like to spare my eyes from anything that might make me think sour thoughts! I wish you a wonderful holiday as well! And thank you for sharing this hub!

....well the epi-man is here with a little warmth to thaw things out around here - lol lol lol - and to unequivocally state that I only start breathing properly when I arrive at your hubs looking for a good time - and to receive some philosophical musings from you in a poetic vein about life, living, people and the holidays - and I must say I never leave here disappointed .......
