LOVE'S CONTENTMENT

How long have our hearts been entwined?

We both know to the day

Love is comfortable like soft kid gloves

Our hearts here to stay

Some things in love are meant to be

We both know for sure

Love was always our destination

Our hearts brought us here

Just like peas and carrots; chocolates in a box

We’re always touching, reassuring

Love wound one ‘round the other’s heart

Ever here and endearing

Going through life in love together

Welcoming each new day

Secure in love’s constant nurture

Our hearts lead the way

Life will one day run out its course

Our love ties undone

Until that day our Love abides

And we two live as one

Eternal life beyond the grave

A lost love journey ends

We’ll be reunited in Heaven

Eternal love begins

Wonderful words to express the relationship that we experience when in love. Thanks for sharing them.

@richtwf...Thank you! I am not good in this sector with expressing myself so it challenges me to write in this area now and then. Glad this one worked for you. WB

..something a little different from you and actually I find it a splendid surprise. A good writer (we know who we are - lol) can always branch out and try something different or a different style - and you succeeded magnificently here my friend. I was thinking about you the other day - on TV was an old John Wayne movie with the lovely Maureen O'Hara - McLintock !!!!

I have just written a western which is dark and has a lot of blood in it - and here you are writing about love - lol lol lol -

well I always get a lot of contentment when I come here to your hubs and I always LOVE your writing!!!

Love is comfortable, abiding and joyful in this little poem. The rhythm is simple and the words ring with honesty and in my humble opinion, that's the ultimate homage to love. Well done!

@epigramman...I would have probably been better at writing about the blood and guts...gotta check that one out. Thanks for the words...always appreciated! WB

@SilverGenes...This is probably the closest I have come to writing a poem for my wife...but I didn't tell her! LOL...just in case it was bad! Thanks for the great feedback! WB

Wayne,

I once heard a variant on the old saying, "It is better to have loved and lost" and the variant was Much Better!!!!!!

I can't imagine your wife not loving this!

Beautiful, just beautiful.

This is a brilliant love poem. I hope you shared it with your lady who "Rescued you and helped you trust again" To find a woman or a man who can implant that faith in LOVING with all ones heart again is pure GOLD.

I am so happy for you my friend, hang on and never let go of this gem. She deserves all your love for eternity.
