(writer’s note: I wrote this verse for my wife, Barbara...my love, my friend, my life.)
Those eyes, they torture and tantalize
Those eyes, they sparkle and hypnotize
Those eyes, like pools of tranquil water
Those eyes, leading me to slaughter
I am such a slave to those eyes
That smile, so attractive and alluring
That smile, a dream so enduring
That smile, glowing as the moonlight
That smile, telling me don’t fight
I am such a fool for that smile
Those lips, so full and kissable
Those lips, simply irresistible
Those lips, wet with pure romance
Those lips, saying take a chance
I am so in love with those lips
Your touch, so soft upon my arm
Your touch, full of grace and charm
Your touch, lingers like fine perfume
Your touch, leaving me no room
I am so in need of your touch
That laugh, so sweet and inviting
That laugh, so soft and exciting
That laugh, heard a thousand times before
That laugh, could I hear it once more
I so want to hear your soft laugh
Your presence, so warm and reassuring
Your presence, a feeling never disappearing
Your presence, like red wine and a warm fire
Your presence, kindling my desire
I long for the feel of your presence
Can you touch my face?
If you can you will feel my smile
My smile of love for all that is you with me
Touch it…I love you
Can you see my eyes?
If you can you will also see my love
My love burns bright each time I look upon you
Each moment we are together…or apart
Can you feel my heart?
It is beating in rhythm only for you
My heart, my love, my life, are only for you
Feel my heart…feel my love
Can you know my love?
It is the very essence of my being
My existence, my focus, my life, it is all you
Know me…know love
