Laughing Buddha And The Frozen Sunlight
In this poem I have highlighted the power of sub-conscious mind and how we can benefit by releasing it through meditation. The message for all humanity is expressed in the conclusion.
The vivid images seen during meditation are described as they were actually perceived by me in my mind. This is a true experience.
Laughing Buddha and the Frozen Sunlight
My skills in life were to restore eyesight
Dire circumstances plus dearth of equipments were my plight
And then, in meditation one fine night,
I saw laughing Buddha and the Frozen Sunlight.
I knew not what was my life’s mission,
Buddha perplexed me, I experienced confusion,
I was keen and eager to unveal Buddha’s lesson,
So I decided to investigate through more meditation.
Through language of dreams, symbols and words,
My inner voice prompted and coaxed me forwards,
I slowly began to evolve and ascend,
My inner guidance, I began to understand.
Through meditation release your inner spiritual power,
Recognise it, control it and use it forever,
Resolve to do good for yourself and others,
For needy and downtrodden, do some special favours.
Lets not be divided by religions, castes and creed,
Lets shun our differences, lets overcome our greed,
Divine benevolence provides plenty for everyone to feed,
Have milk of human kindness and very modest needs.
When all humanity unites and works together,
For World Peace and Harmony and Good-Will for others,
The Frozen Sunlight will thaw out and melt,
And its spreading golden warmth in our hearts will be felt.
