From filling stations east and west,

To the crowded skies filled with jets.

People will travel here and there.

Working around the clock for some,

There’s no day off or time for fun.

People will still work every day,

Despite an extra holiday,

As for the ones respected most,

We tip our glasses now and toast.

Toast to the clerks, the truckers too.

Toast to the ones protecting you.

……………………………………………………………

Toast to farmer growing crops,

Toast to the firemen and cops,

Toast to the military strong,

Let Labor Day last all year long.
