Life is Tough, No Exceptions
Life is Tough, No Exceptions.

The world often seems masked by tragedy,
overwhelmed by the remnants of struggle and despair,
yet we see this reality through the eyes of expectation,
the narrow view of a single dimensional perspective.
Sight is founded by expectation,
and we will surely find what we are looking for,
amid a world of contention and diversity,
a world that can seem harsh and biased in its outpouring.
The truth is it is this perspective that defines our experience,
what we will venture to find in our world,
the meat and bones of what is possible,
in a blank landscape we call life.
It is much about our open-mindedness,
that defines what we see and accept as reality,
and therefore how we respond to circumstances
placed before us in our day to day struggle.
Life is harsh, and struggle is necessary,
to define our acceptance of the parameters of experience,
living every moment with some level of awareness,
to exact a path of learning and the recognition and gift of being.
Fixating on the struggle simply holds us to that experience,
cloaking all other possibilities and focus,
limiting what good can come of potential and imagination,
through the eyes of an open mind.
How we deal with life defines who we are,
and how we view possibility, the building blocks of our future.
Life, is tough, no exceptions,
but becoming lost in the struggle
diminishes the joy that is offered in the same quantity,
in the same breath from an impartial universe.
