Life's Contorsions
The thoughts in her mind slip and slide like his mechanic hands through grease
She's done it again, managed to survive the day without too much pain
He floats through his day, fixed a transmission and a caburator without too much delay
She's finally able to face herself in the mirror, though her mind is ready to decay
He hits the latest night spots to see if he can get laid
She's thinking that she can never go outside without pepper spray
He finds what he is looking for, and charms 'her' into a dance
She sees herself in the mirror and thinks she will never be given a second glance
He dances to his hearts content, knowing the money for beer will be well spent
She's crying on her sofa now, thoughts running about how she'll never be able to accept herself
He's really going now, another trophy to put upon his shelf
The lines are blurry and this one's going to fall
Being able to see ones self as worthy is her biggest dream of all
He's leading 'her' to shadows, as there is no light for anyone to see
There's no stopping now, the rush of adreneline has already seeped its way through course veins, with deeply saddened eyes is the only way to view, what he has done to many without their slightest clue
She's done everything they've asked of her, she has no strength to do more, but the prevailing thoughts of sickness through her brain, she's never going to be the same
His drunken breath smothers her, his body sloppy but powerful, there's no way to contain him, his speech is overly slurred
His quest has been attained, another victim feeling morally slain
This is yet another tale of sickness we can see inside, for everyone of us can be seen as Dr.Jekyl and/or Mr. Hyde.
So remember when you venture out into this night, keep you guard up, always be willing to fight.
