Limerick - There Once Was A Man They Called Norman

It takes humility to properly accept defeat.

It takes courage to run for office.

There once was a man they called Norman,

Who wanted to be the Shop Foreman.

When the votes were all counted.

The campaign he had mounted,

Left him "Up a creek with no oar, man!"

epigramman: Cool wishes are preferred this time of the year when 80's, 90's, and 100's abound. I have a cousin with the right idea, sailing up Lake Michigan, then Lake Huron, and into Canada. Glad some of my Limericks give you a chuckle or two.

MsDora: Most things in life are beyond our control, that's why we trust in God to take care of everything else. Thanks for the View.

oceansider , always exploring , MsDora , joanwz, epigramman - It has been some time now, since this one went out into HubLand stirring its chuckle or two. Now, many limericks later, it's time for me to check and see who of you are still looking for a chuckle or two. Watch for my comments on your latest offerings here.
