Limpopo Farmland Poem
Poem 6: Limpopo Farmland
Cows graze to the left
Brown, black, and spottedFinding shade among treesLiving off tall grass belowNearby bright yellow sunflowers
Reaching towards afternoon sunBreaking the green monotonyWheat grows on right
Planted amongst native vegetationSeparated from cows by highwayWritten on April 1, 2006 at 11:23 during drive from Johannesburg to Lajuma Mountain
6th poem in a series of 26 written on my 2006 trip to South Africa
