Listen (poem)

Every word

Lips conferred

Though mind blurred

Something stirred

Feelings flow

Letting go

Heart aglow

Trust bestow

Listen as the waves caress the shore

Whispers’ music flowering the sky

Breaths of summer waiting a reply

Will this ever happen anymore

In her eyes

Are the whys

Locked in sighs

Passion’s prize

Closer still

Hopes fulfill

Sparks a thrill

Wishes fill

Listen to the winds which flush the vales

Time which sings of moments yet begun

Dreams from which a love like this is spun

All the Joy this paradise entails

Listen as the sunset’s glories sore

Melodies of stardust all around

All that matters centers on a sound

Will this ever happen anymore

Every word

Heartbeats heard

Soul incurred

Always stirred

Lovely poem. There is so much to listen to, even from the sounds of nature. I tend to spend too much time looking and need to spend more tim listening. Thanks for this.

If we stopped to listen, we'd understand so much more - including each other...

A beautiful poem with a meaningful message, Mxx

I love this poem. The repetition of "listen..listen" is hauntingly beautiful. Voted up, beautiful and awesome.
