Living high above the Clouds

Source

This Poem is

Beyond physics

Beyond time

Beyond Body

Beyond Mind

There's a place

Where?

Existence takes place

Existence is space

Occupancy of place

Living in outer space

Taking ones place

ALIVE!

To witness

Motion

mixing of chemistry

solvent and solution

Just moving

dissolving memories

Ocean

Life!

An interstellar equilibrium of gases and physical masses all in the MIX........

Simple, but powerful. The video is the perfect accompaniment. I'll tell you, when I finished reading your poem and watching the video I found myself sitting up straighter. Like the narrator, I felt more important in the universe. I really enjoyed my time here.

Thank you @MarleneB, I just found that cool video I shared up above, and I had to write this poem, it was my motivation here for sure, its nice to see that you enjoyed it.

It is a marvelous gift we have been given...this thing called life...to waste a moment of it is a sin against nature. I know you understand that; through your words you radiate life and living to the fullest.

Great hub my friend, very straight forward and cutting out the fat...I like the basic messages about this existence and this is a very basic and true message.

Peace to you Mike!

Hi there billybuc, yes indeed life is fairly simple, there's only 4 things I focus on primarily for the most part, and they go as follows: Earth, Air, Fire & Water.

This is something I always keep in the back of my cerebral at all times, to me its like a top secret storage compartment of sorts.

I only rethink it through as to how simple life is, when times get rough & all it takes is a simple refocus on such a simplicity life truly is, because everything else stems from them 4 elements. Without any of those four elements in any combination life ceases to exist.

I learned this truest simplicity back in college, after I dropped out, go figure! Oh almost forgot, thanks once again for the cool visit and awesome message.

Hi there @CrisSp, yay! I'm happy you liked it, its not easy to bring meaning to inanimate words, but thanks to poetry sometimes us poets tend to get lucky I guess.

Hey PWalker281, nice to see you, I'm glad you dug my poem here that video is truly amazing yes it is, I must agree.

I really don't know who Niel is, but if he was the voice behind the video then he is definitely one cool dude! Thanks for checking it out, and for reading as well as sharing with me.

Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson is an African-American astrophysicist who has made a lot of appearances on science shows on the Discovery and similar cable networks. That's where I first saw him. He's the scientist who downgraded the planet Pluto, btw. Interesting man.

Wow that's good to know Pwalker, I had no clue great info. I will look him up when I get the time for sure, thanks again for paying it forward for me here. I really love science as you can see.

@LaThing, Thank you for the awesome comment, its so nice to see that this poem sits good with folks. I try my best to bring out inner nature in differing ways, as well as outer nature.

Its something new to me actually, because I I've always written technical poetry. Thanks to hubpages my style is adjusting a bit I guess.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

Hi phdast7, I truly appreciate your kindness and yes that video was exception, and one motivator to write this poem.

That's my new technique, which is type in a great theme or keyword into Google, locate a powerful video from such a search, and then write something profound about it.

I just hope I can keep up such a trend, its tough to score in the community here with any submission, and I'm truly grateful for all the hublove that's poring in. I will look up that person you mentioned, because learning of new things & people is truly another reason I'm here on hubpages.

Thanks for that awesome insightful comment made by you and for sharing.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

Yeah, I wanted to pretty much share the video with everyone, because was feeling somewhat emotional after seeing it, thus the poem that popped out here onto the page.

So I must agree @rebeccamealey, whom ever done such a video is truly awesome indeed. Thanks for the comment and for sharing with me today.

@Deborah Brooks, your words have made my day, that's so sweet of you to write them in such a way, and to share with me, thank you.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@Angela Kane, thanks for the compliment, I do my best with it all. I'm just hoping I can keep it flowing, its not easy with poetry online, no way no how, these search engines are tough indeed.

@Mhatter99 I'm glad you came to visit and located me as well, see you soon in your hubs.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

@shiningirisheyes, it all started out for me with my mother making me watch the public broadcasting channel as a baby, and young child. I grew up watching the nature programs and documentaries about life, and she filled me with hope and dreams of reaching spiritual peace some day.

I surely do miss her so much, my mother was a powerful presence in my life, may the lord bless her precious soul, she took care of me and my brothers as if we were the most important things on this planet, and I think her undying love will last forever, I owe everything to her, and will forever be in debt to my mom.

RIP Mirna Reyes I know your watching over us still, while living high above the clouds. This poem was also dedicated to her.

Thank you for such a touching and moving comment here, it has prompted this thought about my loving mother. I will repay the visit indeed, and hopefully I can find some awesome nuggets you must have written as well, judging by your gracious words you've just rendered to me here. Oh and also thanks for the vote, and for sharing with me.

CloudExplorer profile image

CloudExplorer 4 years ago from New York City Author

Thank you for reading and for the cool comment @vespawoolf, life is very simple, yet the external surface of things may appear to be much more complex at times.

My mom taught me how to see past it all, and never to focus on the material aspects, but to look more into spiritual fulfillment, and purpose in life so this is what helped me to see what I see today.
