Living in a dream world

Sitting

Relaxing

Watching the Sun

Nothing on the agenda

So Nothing gets done

Peaceful

Quiet

Nothing but the sound of the wind

Nature at its finest

Loving every min...

Love poetry - get some here

Nut

Crazy

In my own dream world

Of four padded white walls

Lonely

Alone

No one's really here

Imaginary friend

She is a dear

Love

Lost

Happens all the time

Forgot what really happened

I am doing just fine!

Sitting

Here

Lost in my mind

Don't come to close

It's dangerous what you may find

Imaginary

World

Created Just for me

You may come in

But you may never be set free

Switch

Change

The storm is picking up

Shot of wiskey

Filling up the cup

Window

Empty

What's that I really see

Lonely

Miserable

Little

This was awesome. When I get what I call a log jam, I write a song, and I feel better. Kicking somebodie's ass works well too, but now that I'm a rootin tootin intellectual, I quit doing that. (I'll never make the intellectual grade. I like getting things done.)

The last verse is my favorite. Bouncing around in a rubber romm can be so relaxing after you've gone over the edge. Where's one of them faces? .. ahhh ... :0 (slightly freaked out)

The last time I had one of those days was in the first week of Febuary. I wrote a hub and ditty. I should grab the guitar and put it on You Tube with my other music videos. (laughing) Here's a link. See pimping is good fun! http://hubpages.com/literature/I-Had-A-Bad-Day-Mom

You still surprise me - I'd say lucky ole you! You can write excellent poetry, serious articles and funny ones. Sometimes serious and funny IN THE SAME ONE!

This totally reminds me of one of my "off" days. And you published something great:). I can't seem to finish anything! So it makes my heart swell to get your mention above. You just made my day better. Thank you so much!

The last couple days - so off. I hate that.

Jim - I wish I could write a song and then actually put it to music. I have almost got Pretty Woman down on the guitar, but that is about it... I guess I will just stick to poetry. LOL I will definately take a look at the link! And if you ever put it to youtube let me know - I want to see.

@Real - my poetry has a tendency to write itself... well, all my stuff has a tendency to do this. I was actually sitting outside enjoying the weather and the kids started getting on my nerves and that is what ends up happening. It's magic... lol

I am glad that I was able to make your day better - I will mention you anytime!

@Harvey - Hugs will work - but maybe I just need a sitter. First week off of school and the kids are driving me up the wall! LOL

I bet you felt better after you wrote this. Most of us do. Oh the perils of motherhood. Hang in there.

BG,

I'll send a you tube link. When I lost my grandaughter I wrote what started out to be a poem and turned into a song for her funeral. Sad deal, but everyone made it through it.

@Marellen - I do believe I did feel a lot better... but it was one of those - wow - I can't believe I wrote this - it's great kind of feel good... then I went and took a nap :) Ha ha ha

@Harvey - you sound like a Disneyland commercial... lol... oh wait - that is a small world I was thinking of... ha ha ha

Jim, I remember you talking about that video. It was a great song. Sad the reasons you wrote it, but beautiful nonetheless.

Oh crap. I'm sorry. I forgot we already went down that road about that song. The Pimp hates to double pimp!

Ha ha - don't worry. I believe you previously pimped in your own hub... so your still safe... or maybe you are a double pimper. Hmmmm - does that even exist... lol

I am sure it gets hard to remember everything when you are interacting with so many different people so many different times. It gets overwhelming when you have 30 or 40 conversations going on all at the same time... I love it! :)

No, I struggle with one at a time. There's actually only about .. well, less than ten people that I correspond with on any kind of a regular basis, and really only about four or five daily if that many. I think I'm just trying to put a gallon of crap in a one quart brain, (laughing)

Don't ain't got no whiskey so a glass of wine must suffice. And I agree with Mo2Chi, perfectly awesome:)

Jim, you would be so proud - yesterday we had a party at the house, I meet some new people and I pimped your site... so, I might have gotten you a few extra followers. There you go - more interaction... so don't cap up too much! LOL

@Spirit Whisperer - ha ha - I must be getting better... gulp gulp! LOL

@Mo - Thank you so much! The departure time was mid afternoon - but it worked out well. :)

@Hyphenbird - A glass of wine works perfect. I didn't do the whiskey, but I had a beer. I guess that will have to work for me as well :)

Stick your right hand up in the air palm facing out. I just gave you a cyber high five. I joke around a lot, but what you did is no joke. You quit reading my crap, and put it into practice. That's how you save a nation. Reading and thinking is all good, but action truly out performs words. I AM proud of you. You need a promotion damn it! :)

While I totally understand how the kids can get on your last nerve - I can't understand how things write themselves! Its painstaking for me!

barbergirl28 profile image

Jim - cyber high five right back at ya!!! :D

@Real - I think all parents understand kids getting on their very last nerve... mine do it on a regular basis. I love this whole stay at home mothering thing, but I tell you, by the time the day is done, I am exhausted. The odd part is, that is just because I have two more kids around that don't require much... a little bread... a little water and they are good to go! LOL Yet, they have added so much more into my routine I am having difficulty trying to get in the writing.

As for the writing, try getting a book on writing prompts. If you do a lot of free writing (some of which I would never share because it is such crap) you litterally let your mind take control of your fingertips. It just comes out. It is when you are writing stuff you have to research that it can get painstaking. I have a book that I would recommend for you, and it is a different writing prompt everyday. It is creative writing and no need for research. The idea is to keep your fingers going for a set amount of time - like 10 minutes - and you keep on writing. If there is nothing there to write you can repeat the same word over and over again until it starts to flow. It really is practice... I will see if I can find the book for you and send you a link. It is a great little tool and I bet you will find the prompts make writing less painstaking. Although I will admit, you are really good at it... so keep with the pain! :)

Sunnie Day 5 years ago

Good Morning,

This was so good and love reading the comments..it is funny how sometimes when we write that something comes out that maybe we did not know was there..but if we search really hard we find the root..deep inside..Lovely as always..

Hugs,

Sunnie

@Sunnie - this is probably one of my favorite pieces of poetry. I even remember the day so clearly as I wrote it. I was all happy and suddenly the kids started fighting... lol... I should only thank them for the inspiration. However, I wrote this awhile back and I am working on getting all those summaries done so I figure, write a summary, do a little tweeting of my older stuff and share it with my followers. You never know who might have missed it! :)

Very nice work. I liked the flow, and the short lines. I like how each line is forced to have more meaning in this style of writing.

up/awesome/stuff like that :]

@BenWritings - Thanks. I love this one because it kind of wrote itself. Not all writing works so seemlessly like this one did!

It’s interesting to read the poem and then the comments about the kids getting on your nerves. I think poetry and emotions seem to be very linked.

This is a poem to savour and so get the best of all that wrote itself through you! :-)

There is a lot of depth here.

Hi BBG - I still love this - and I see the intelligence and bits of you in the writing more so than before. You are awesome:)

Nice poem. We all feel these emotions at times I know. I relate well to a song that Jimmy Buffett sings called Pacing the Cage.

I'll be reading more of your Hubs!

Poetic Fool 4 years ago

Stacy, this is really, really good! It's got a nice, snappy rhythm. With three adult kids of my own, I'm sure they have driven me a bit crazy. At least, they say I am. Two thumbs up!

barbergirl28 profile image

@Just Ask Susan - Thanks... glad that I shared this so you had a chance to catch this one... It has been awhile since I wrote this so it was a fun one to come back to! :)

barbergirl28 profile image

barbergirl28 4 years ago from Hemet, Ca Author

@Melovy - I think that is one of the things I truly like about poetry... it really is an indepth ananlysis of our emotions at the time. If it wasn't for my kids occasionally driving me nuts (particularly in the middle of writing this which is why it changed tones) I would have never came up with this one. Thanks for stopping by and I am glad that you enjoyed it! :)

barbergirl28 profile image

@Real - I love that my intelligence shines through... ha ha... or maybe it is the craziness that we all find intelligent. Of course - thank you for the wonderful compliment. You know I Love You like a fat kid loves cake! ;)

@PoeticFool - Glad that you can relate... or at least when your kids were younger you did. The fun part of this, is when my kids are grown up I will probably miss their crazy driven antics... but then it might be time to turn the tables around and drive them a little crazy :)

Hey Barbergirl, this is definitely an interesting poem. I had a sense of deja vu reading it. I guess the last time I read this I didn't leave a comment. Oh well it happens. :) Voted up and interesting. :)

@Cagsil - Was the deja vu from reading it and not commenting... or because you could relate ;) Well, if anything I am glad you came back and left a comment this time! :)

I have a metal Slumber King box spring frame nuermbs on it are 4 FT 6 or G. The spring looks like cast metal with flat metal slats that are connected with a bunch of small springs. Do you have any information on the age of this product and whether or not there is a market for it? Thanks

With ultimate team(UT) anwyay, more player position cards. I haven't played in awhile so perhaps they have added this in a recent update but I doubt it. To be able to change a LM to a CAM, a fullback to a L/RM etc because currently some of us can't truly have our UT when the game restricts us this way.

hello,I just wished to write to say how much I've eynejod reading your site. I am part cherokee on my mother's side and my sister is half blackfoot on her father's side. we are half sisters actually as you can see. but anyways I love anything and everything to do with the Native American culture. I also have a friend who is always looking for new info on this as well and I am having a problem with finding information about her birth totem. Her birthday is September 13 If you could help me I'd be grateful as I say she loves Native American stuff as I do. Also I noticed you do crafts. I do too and am looking for a crochet pattern for a native american girl dress to do for a project I'm working on. If you may have any ideas or could help in any way I'd be grateful. Sorry if I've rambled I take medication due to a serious ailment which has left me bedbound. Thanks again for any and all help!!!!
