Long line @ 16

Half hitch is quick but it doesn't seem,

fishing for life missing person cutter at full steam...

all hands on deck eyes frozen waking dream,

cold sea sprays and proudly displays force Bering,

down to the depths at a quick step imploding before herring,

top side world prays for you only to bee alive and caring...

search pattern starts crew members embark wind blown watch all staring,

helo's HIFR and Jp-5 FOWK sample scene comparing,

off into the vastness line returns load bearing,

reviling empty hooks as everybody looks boot breaking,

surface tension explodes into an assessment of action...

but this equation is unsolvable fractions,

to deep and cold for too long... one liners to port, black sack em'

HIFR- helo in flight refueling

Jp-5- jet propellant

FOWK- fuel oil water king

Goego, What an impacting, powerful, relentless poem about watery search and rescue! The action, the images and the rhyme scheme work to reader imagination. This is "The Guardian," parts of "Message in a Bottle" and "The Perfect Storm" all rolled together in one dramatic, enduring, poetic punch.

Thank you for sharing,
