Lost On Our Own Time

The Real Us

Burried deep in the fluff

Yes a white sticky mess

Not a quick fix anytime soon

The t.v. on with over two hundred channels available

Not really watching it

Just noise

How many do that ?

Are we so caught up in a make believe world

That we are so distracted

We are not anywhere

Hours on the cell phone

Checking everything under the sun

Learning little

Most for fun

Leaving quality time behind

Where real people meet and talk face to face

I'm not use to this way of life

I am not sure I want to change with the times

What do you think ?

If I keep my old values

Am I going to be left behind ?

In a place so strange to me

As if I traveled to a foreign land

Hey Dream On, very well written poem and so appropriate. Everything does not need changing with the times. Old fashioned values should always be treasured. Voted up!

I think we are already left behind when we have to ask. Still I try to keep up but only you and know what has been lost and what THEY are leaving behind. Don't you think?

Word55 It is hard to understand why people don't feel they should keep the old fashioned values that only help other people. Lack of kindness and compassion.Thank you for reading and sharing.

PAINTDRIPS I keep dropping hints to see if they understand what I am saying and hopes we can learn from each other. Combining the old and the new together. It's a working progress. Thank you for understanding and sharing, May your day be bright and lovely.

Once we establish control of truth we know, living it in peace and tranquility, no outside influence can disturb destined journey on the narrow road.

Beautifully written.

Michael-Milec My life starts from the inside my body without it I am no more. Nothing I see or do can be greater than the beauty God has given me. Enjoying other pleasures make life more interesting and enjoyable. Thank you for your insight into the world we live.
