I am the wind; you are the sea.

Lost in a dream…the dream…the dream.

She is the heart; I’m like the stone.

We are the dream…believe…believe.

The world you see, and the life you lead:

They’re a dream—a vision.

The road I take, and the plans you make:

They can take you somewhere.

Sunrise to warm the day…Sunlight.

Sunrise to warm the day…Sunlight.

The world you see, and the life you lead:

They’re a dream—a vision.

I am the wind; you are the sea.

Lost in a dream…the dream…the dream.

She is the heart; I’m like the stone.

We are the dream…believe…believe.

About This Song

I wrote “Lost in a Dream” in 2006. It was my first attempt at using sequencing software. I programmed all the keyboard and drum tracks. In addition, I sang both lead and background vocals. This was my first attempt at doing that. It was quite fun.

For me, the song is a sequel to “As I Listen.” Again, there is this desire to immerse myself in the realm of imagination. But the song is different, in that it takes imagination a step further, into the place of vision. Our thoughts and actions are creating our very world. We can choose which road we want to go down. There are infinite possibilities, my fellow Dream Maker.

What do you envision?

I’m like a little kid in a candy shop. I want to try a little of everything. I often go were the wind of inspiration takes me. I suppose you could say that I am like my cat, Munchkin, in that I am very curious. I want to know what lies beyond this threshold.

For those that are interested, there is a video of my song below. The video contains a collection of photos my wife and I have taken on our wonderful adventures. Enjoy.
