Love In The Works

When the night is young and we are both feeling hot hot hot

I want to and my loving wife says no you just have to wait

You will have loving but not just now

There are other things I want to do first

Why can't they wait

Love should be first

Now now be patient and it won't kill you to feel the passion build

My wife paid some bills online and had to check her work e-mails

My mind is like a wild horse raising its legs and jumping in the air

I want to go and go and I feel the excitement rise

How do I control my emotions that are so strong and powerful

As I pause and am bewildered and confused

My wife seems simply amused

Now she has a headache and wants to lay down

I get her a few asprins to make her feel better

I go to bed and lie next to her and rub her back

I joke and say this is where I want to be but not sleeping

I think I got up too early and I am just tired

I will feel better in a couple of hours

A couple of hours seems like a lifetime to me

But after coming to my senses and listening to the voice of reason

I too drift off to a wonderful sleep and we both wake a little over four hours later

Refreshed and wide awake now hungry

What do you want to eat ?

What I want is on a different menu

Now now how about omlettes

That sounds good

I will go water the garden and the flowers while you start super

I go outside to cool off and turn the hose on and after spraying myself in the face by mistake

I got a quick wake me up surprise

After all the plants need water so they can grow

I keep thinking

The sooner I get done,the sooner we eat the sooner we can have some fun

After all the plants and garden was watered I had a little pep in my step

Because in the back of my mind I know what comes next

We decided to bring super outside and eat on the deck

Then I thought lets start a fire in the firepit

We watched the fire glow and had a couple of drinks

This was nice as soon as the words left my mouth the bugs started to bite

Why don't you go in and get a nce shower and I will watch th fire burn down

About fifteen minutes later the ashes were just glowing and I will let it burn out by itself

I came in the house and into the shower while my wife was coming out

You look so nice

Thank you now go get a shower and see me in the bedroom when your done

I couldn't get covered with the soap and water and shampoo my hair any faster

Out of the shower and a quick towel dry

The bedroom door almost shut with just a little night light on

I could see the light shine like it was glowing from the room

Off to a world of love and where all my expectations are satisfied

The door slowly closed behind me and what happened next is a time I will remember

Not the headache, not the wait but real life and what it is to love

When the time is right and both can enjoy it all night
