Love Must Go On - A Poem from Me to Her

Foreword:

This is a humble attempt to express my feelings for a little girl who wrote a beautiful poem for me last night. I didn’t give birth to this pretty girl but I have always treated her as my daughter. I’m sharing with all of you the poem I wrote for her in response to the one she wrote for me. I have copy pasted her poem as well herein below for all those who would be interested in reading her beautiful words.

Love Must Go On....Poem From Me to Her

Don’t you worry, I’m there for you,

My love for you is heartfelt and true;

Be it freezing cold or a hot summer day,

I’m there to dispel clouds of fear and dismay.

I am no angel and have no magic wand,

But we do share an unknown bond;

That makes me love you and care for you,

Enough for me to work magic for you.

So my baby don’t you worry,

I am there to lead you to glory;

And hold your hand till you are ready,

To spread your wings and fly elegantly.

You are going to make me proud,

When you fly past the clouds;

Beneath, the earth will seem like a bridal wreath,

Tempting enough for you, to settle down amidst a blossoming heath.

With tears of joy I might choke,

The day I see you wear my cloak;

Whispering to your young one, the words that I always said to you,

“Don’t you worry baby, I’m always there for you”.

================================

From Her to Me.....With Love

The mother in you.....
This poem is dedicated to u....
They said there were angels up there
I said I can’t see none up there
they said you had to work harder
I nodded and said don’t u bother......

There she stood
wrapped in silk~wood....
Her skin was glowing
it charged the soft wind blowing
she smiled at me
I was left with a glee

Her face was calm
as she held out her palm
I took her hand
and somehow felt glad....
She said not to worry
my tensions, she'll bury!!

She wiped of my tears
changed all my life's gear.....
I looked at her with a wry light
"it is time" she said to get up and fight!!!
I was weak....
Everything felt bleak....

She gave me hope
and with that gait she looked like Pope.......
"your good intent...will earn you the best"....
The words set the anguished soul at rest

her warmth....
Took care in the cold....
"Act bold".....was what echoed

Her love was pure
it made me sure
I confined my fears
and she,.....
cheered me up with her words so clear......

Angel...that's not what she is
It’s the mother I have been looking at...
That's what she is
reflection of an Angel and epitome of love
I bow before her

for being a mother and an answer to my prayers.

Anjali, I so enjoyed basking in the energy of love and gratitude between the little girl and you. Both poems are touching. To use the power of poetry and express a bond between two lovely beings is touching!

Mysticdave: Thx very much for your kind words and for taking time to read. :)

Hi Marie: Her words had such an impact on me that, for the first time in my life, I didn't have to think before writing. Words just poured out on their own...effortlessly. That surely is the power of love...pure and untainted love of a child. (Hugs)

Anjali, I can't quite describe how beautiful these poems are. You should be proud to have a daughter like her, and so should she be - for having a mom like you!

It does not matter that you didn't give birth to her - the bonds between you two are so clear to see. The love of a child truly is the most pure and rewarding thing in the world!!

Thank you so much for sharing this hub!!

Hi Shil: Your presence always brightens up my small hub world. I can't thank you enough for your loving words. Yes, I'm proud of her and I'm grateful to God for giving me the potential to love and be loved (by kids especially). Don't ever be a stranger. Keep coming back. (Hugs)

Thank you for sharing the poetry and thank you for sharing the poetry between you that gave life to the words. Your relationship, precious, full of life, full of gratitude. The gratitude is awesome because sometimes as parents we forget to be grateful for the little ones we support growing in the big garden!

Thanks again for sharing a part of your personal life.

Hard to decide which is better . . . the mother or the daughter! But one thing is for sure, a child always searches for an Angel... and the parents so easily stand-in for them!

Hi Reiki Healer!

Thank you for such nice words. Sometimes, words just come straight from heart, effortlessly. Most likely its the power of love which is even stronger in case of unconditional mother-child relationship. :)Thanks again for stopping by..
