Love, Promises & Lies

For years, I've walked alone
In a solitude of grace
Never thought I'd stopped
On a crossroad far ahead
Say hello to you and smile
That day we travelled together
Through the thick and thin trails of life
Fate is smiling at us
While we cherish every moment

Then in a sick twist of events
One fine day
The pretty blonde came along
She tried to tag on our journey
I didn’t mind then
We're happy to notice something new
She was lovely, she was kind
But only to find out
She blinded you with lies

You slowly push me away
Just to be with her
You broke my heart just to save her
I cried for so many nights
But you never cared anymore
Those promises we had
One by one the wind blew it away
Only to leave the fragments of scars
That even time couldn’t heal

For years, I've tried to walk alone
In a solitude of despair
Never thought that it will end so soon
On a crossroad where we found her
I will now say goodbye and wipe my tears
Taking only memories we had
Those thick and thin trails
Will be my lessons forever
And to wait for the smile of fate again

Beautiful and achingly sad. We learn to patch up the wound and and learn from the scars. Up and awesome.

Beautifully poignant words...those lessons we learn in life that define the courage it takes to smile through the sadness. We learn but do not forget.

Sad but Beautiful!

Such incidents are never forgotten but they teach us valuable lessons of life.
