Love, a poem.

Love comes like a thief

in the night,

takes our peace,

gives us no rest.

He wins while without

him we are

lost,

with him we

are prisoners.

His lack makes

us unhappy. We

hunger for him.

Love is pain.

But also hope.

Ecstasy.

He kills us, but

gives us life also.

Without love

we are nothing.

There is no wisdom in love.

He comes like a

blitz and burns us up.

But we turn ever and ever to the fire.

You know Hummingbird, it's turning cold. It would be nice to warm ourselves just a little. Beautiful!

Yes, that's true. We do need the warmth.

Yes. I put "he" in the same way that we say "man" when we mean humankind. In this respect Love is seen as an entity rather than a person.

Without love

we are as hollow

as a tube.

Without love life is nothing, you either need to love or hate to live, in the absence of both you are nothing.
