Lyrical Music, So Beautiful of Spirit ( a poem to inspire)
The writer pens stoic notes upon the page,
A lyrical song, as we all soon to engage,
Whether, as a bard, or composer to be,
A wonderful creator of music, is he.
The composition, one of many moods,
Bright in spirit, or somber, it includes.
In scales of a variety, notes high and free,
Those so low, all in unison, to agree.
As a writer, my song, of the wind to belong,
Written with all my heart, and my soul,
Taken by one so bold. now that I'm very old,
Yet, my lyrics to remain, as new, as gold.
One was written of soldiers, their great sacrifice,
Of a war, so heartless, many deaths to steal,
Then to serve as inspiration, of a deserving nation,
Feelings, I shared, to be so very real.
Although credits I never received, in the cause believed,
The good, and the just, to share, to hear,
Each script upon the page, a reflection of every age,
The times so hard, those so severe.
Words to show we care, all in expressions, so rare,
Much as the wind, all given and are free,
Every poem, those to rhyme, not worth a dime,
Yet, have spiritual values, worthy, beyond infinity.
