M.I.A. ~ Baby, Come Back!

My Precious Sprite

In the dead of night, she slipped away,
without adieu or communique.
Please tell me she's not gone to stay...
My Muse has taken flight!

The echo of her whispers dear
are heard no more, and this I fear...
she seeks someone more cavalier
and disposed me now with blight!

Without my Muse, I cannot live.
The heart within me cannot give.
My mind and quill an empty sieve...
a terrible, crippling plight.

Return to me, my sweetest Muse!
There is no price I shall refuse...
Without you, I, but sing the blues.
Come back, My Precious Sprite!

Hmmmm...she seeks someone more cavalier? I would fear that as well. Whatever happens, clue, I wish you happiness and the best in love.

May both our muses return and bring us back our verse to soothe our aching souls. We look and can't find our friend who hides from us, yet waits and lingers nearby, playing with us, a possible tease.

We sit with quill in hand pensive with ink dripping with suspense, what shall we pen? come back dear muse, come back, be our friend once more.
