A mailbox here...a mailbox there...here the mailman comes again,
For whatever reason...big box or small...it comes on time every time,
Mailman oh mailman show me the sign...postage stamp resigned,
Flying through imaginary airwaves...airplane fly...Henry ford drive.
Elite and poverty mix...stanzas and novels collide...Ben franklin coincides,
Pen to paper...ink to papyrus...the wet residue travels thousand miles wide,
Of sigmud and shakesphere...dreams for plays...how it parts it's silent lips,
Mailman...do you believe...of course you do...dream of larger plays
for canny individuals.
I thought the mail was Here...was it late...just for me or for the
207...209...211...it still isn't here...wait I think I see him...the
white truck of emotional paper trail,
No it wasn't him...just private enterprise greedily eating it's way
Socialism...capitalism...who knows what is really right...just as long
as he is on time.
He just showed up...hours later...the package arriving in my
hand...heavy isn't it,
I want to open it up...no I don't...maybe i do...I wonder if it is
what I wanted,
Think it is...it sounds squishy...feels good...emotional happiness
recouping it's cardboard walls,
It is...it is...it's finally here...I've waited my entire life for
this...my new heart...not my old cold atone.
If you like this poem, you can view a few of my others below:
- Universal Individualism
Individualistic freedom from Government oppression and personal struggles. The idea within this poem is to display human habit of adaption rather than individuality.
- A Experiment
An Experiment, a test of the mind's inner workings. What does a human think about on any given moment, do you or me even know? This poem tries to conquer the reason why, and hopefully succeeds in such.
- Heartbreak Of The Masses
A poem defining the basis of political heartbreak. This poem motions for a change in current social patterns, and in the process helps show the insecurities of the government and how they should help the people cope with problems.
