Marveling at a New Pen

What newness of life...

I find herein...

to grace the world with word and pen...

and find in my pen renewed a spirit of jest without truth to make explicit...

telling both truth and lie with equanimity to my course...

a course I await God to correct...

if fearing thunder I would change or lightning seen I would abstain...

leaving of things that might awe inspire even myself...

as word flows free and freedom gives flight...

tickled with my cleverness and cleverer still for lack of sight...

where thought does end and all is night to those who cannot see inside my head...
yet to that I write to communicate the same...

leaving imagination dead or rife all the same...

bringing in comment to my comments with as much pleasure as Halloween...

seeing words that hardly reflect mine or might and I defray their accuracy...

least I give away my course which I myself have not chosen...

least an iceberg of thought I hit with spectacular effect...

as Titanic of old who foolishly went at speeds too fast through waters fraught with peril...

peril I now adjure and hide from but find all the same...

in silence that I cannot fully express but revel in just the same.

Perhaps you think me unkind...

to leave you in suspense of thought and mind...

a mind in suspense does no one good and gives the owner as much pain as pleasure in the act...

yet we amuse ourself with it every time we go to see a picture...

where the cause and purpose for the action is reserved until the end...

and even then at times unexplained and left to torture our minds and leave us blind to what remains...

hidden and unhappening or reserved for our night terrors to come up with anew and defined.

Know this that I write in celebration for a mind freed from doubt...

a pen to give me augmentation to thought and in thinking become devout...

dedicated to communication and concealment all the same...

if you blame me...

judge and see that you blame yourself...

for your blindness and I go free...

to write some more and celebrate some more...

in my music to the night...

A phantom on the page.
