May He Bring Us Peace ( a poem of inspiration)
In these times of adversity, extreme hostility, may our god to bring us a peace,
Are we not all brothers above the skin, beneath, the same, let our anger cease.
Were we all born as a mother's child, with wants and desires, needs to please,
Do we not each fall down, only to rise back again, say our prayers on our knees?
As god has created us each, everyone in his own image, should we not honor him,
By respecting all of his children, to each their own lives, one tree's branch, a stem.
When children are hurt, they cry, full of joy, to laugh, all our human traits, as one,
Every babe, a father's great pride, mother's infinite love, before its life has begun.
In times of trouble, we all have worries, praying that our angels quail our fears.
If we have a terrible disease, our family stays close to us, to wipe away our tears.
As we each to struggle mightily, can we not overcome, through our faiths, alone,
While we live our days on this earth, we all have worth, and for our sins, to atone.
Our creator has made us, everyone, as his own son, to guard us in all of our days,
He cares about us each, our love he does beseech, his greatest joy, him to praise.
Hands of many colors, all sisters and brothers, join in the great lord's celebration,
Every creature, great and small, god made us all, his children, our identification.
