May I Have Your Attention For A Brief Moment ?

No time to get ready

I am very happy with the turnout

I have brought you here to tell you how sweet you all are

Coming to read my words and thoughts on paper

These thoughts come to me in many different forms

Sometimes while I am in the shower

Many times they dance in front of me like little dancing flowers

Just waiting to be picked

I also hear a familiar voice that quietly whispers in my ear

Ideas and blocks of thoughts and giving me a choice to go with it or let it pass

If I don't act on it right away in the next instance my thoughts have disappeared from sight

So as I try to explain where and how my ideas come

Certain things are still a mystery to me

How and why many writers stumble upon my stories

Were they lost and looking for directions instead

Maybe bored and want something or someone to give them a zap

That would give them two hundred and twenty volts to make them jump

Looking for something different than the sad news and horror movies

Then you have come to the right place and you may take a seat

If there are no seats left just give me a minute while I borrow my neighbors couch

She is really nice and I am sure she wouldn't mind

So you can get comfortable and I even have refreshments and appitizers

Just in case you get thirsty or hungry

I am trying to be better prepared than I have been in the past

Practice makes perfect

You might see my cat Charlette around she loves to pop her head in every once and awhile

She just can't sit still but on occasion my words give her a good reason to nap

Well then getting together like this serves two purposes

One to make you all smile some time during the night

Not all at once that would be a real eye opener

So those of you who are a stick in the mud

I turned down the lights so no one else can see

Feel free to let those smiles go

When your not smiling it would be awefully nice to get to know the person next to you

Yes both on the left and the right

O.k. now infront of you and behind you

If you knew I expected so much you probably wouldn't of come

That's why I tell you just a little bit on a need to know basis

Yes there are two bathrooms in the back and don't try to leave by the back door

Because it only brings you back here

I won't keep you too long

Yes the lights will go back on when I am done talking

As you can see by my audience I try to answer any questions as they come up

You don't have to raise you hand

I can see you and if you have a question just whislte

If you can't whistle then just hum your favorite tune

Soon the people around you will get the idea and let you have the floor

It works very effectively and nobody has to yell

Well before we all leave and go our separate ways

I just want to thank you for all coming out and I wanted to let you know

I got to type all this in my briefs

To make my writings just a little more interesting and not too revealing

Even though you know more about me than you did yesterday

You can see I have no tricks up my sleeves

For those of you who aren't quick learners

I don't have any sleeves

Yes this is another side of me you haven't seen before

Let me pose

I can write a little more prose

There was a man who had a thought on his mind

He wanted to share it with the world

It was a kind thought

He wondered how he could share it with so many people all at once

Then he thought that would be grand

If all mankind heard of his idea

What would they think

Absurd and absolutely crazy

No one has ever done such a thing and no one ever will

So once again I tossed the idea around and around in my head

What about those people that get affended at a drop of a hat

They are miserable people who don't like any good thoughts

They would never fall for such a trick

Then again what if they never knew they had been tricked until it was too late

Then the wool would of been pulled over their eyes

Now they would of read what I could of only dream

A few kind words that passed from my mind to yours in seconds

Now that is the beauty of the speed of a computer

Faster than the speed of light

You don't have to think too much and before you know it

You have been smiling for the past eight seconds and I have it on camera to prove it

So now the doors will open and the bright lights will go on

I turned off the lights so you wouldn't see all the cameras

What a crazy idea that was carried out perfectly without a flaw

I got this idea from a good friend who has helped me in the past

Leni sands you went out of your way to help me

I have found a way to thank you that makes me especially happy

In all my writings that I write

I find the ones that please me the most

Are the writings that I cleverly hide

I punch line or a hidden meaning

That some will get

Some will miss

Each time I get to laugh

Knowing I am the mastermind behind

Each and every one of my lines
