May you live long, Mr. Scott!
Believe me or not,
There was Mr. Scott,
He was in his eighties,
Ladies found him very hot.
He had muscles like rock,
Very fast he could walk,
Always smile on his face,
Very softly he could talk.
His skin was very tight,
with no wrinkles to fight,
No sign of grey hair,
His vision was bright.
He could write very well,
Had many stories to tell,
And in fact his story books
had a big sale.
Bachelor was he,
Reason he had told me,
Didn’t want to get tied up
but remain always free.
Then one fine day,
So people say,
He fell in love very quickly
with young Miss Leigh.
She proposed to Mr. Scott,
It’s time for their knot,
That without him
her life would just wrought.
They got married very fast,
And when I met Mr. Scott last,
He said he was very happy
‘Yes, marriage was a must.
‘You see my wife is very sweet,
Sweetest you can meet,
I have to live long many years
So soon I won’t quit. ’
‘Are you planning for children ? ’
the moment I asked,
He laughed very loudly
Said ‘That’s a must.
First baby is on the way
to make our great day,
And the second one next year
for sure I can say.
Two children- that’s enough
That’s our plan.’
He laughed, patted my back,
To catch his train he ran.
Mr. Scott, with two children,
is still going strong.
Today is his eighty fifth birthday,
May he live long!
