Maybe I am a lost cause

Lost Cause

I am the girl no one will remember.

I am the one you are trying to forget.

I am the one full of life's regrets.

I am sadness on display.

I am here for you to play.

Maybe I am a lost cause.

Maybe it is you that brings me down.

Maybe I am a no one.

Maybe you took all I have.

Here I am.

That no one that you can not forget.

That person who you wish you could quit.

The Lonely girl looking for a friend.

In a world where loneliness always wins.

That girl you tear down whenever you can.

Maybe I am a lost cause

Because you tore my heart apart

Maybe I am a lost cause

Because I met you and I fell from the start

If I am a lost cause

It is because you make me feel lost.

You took me in your arms

and made me feel safe

now all I feel

is your desire to hate.

I am lost.

Wow, dark emotions and heavy vibes echo in these words.

No person is a lost cause. Some of us learn perhaps either differently or at different speeds than some others. I think most of us truly want to learn and to move forward, to better things.

There is a difference between a lost cause and just being lost. Being lost is a temporary thing. It does not last forever. Sometimes it takes silence and listening to our inner voice to find who we truly are.

Loneliness is only a step on a path to many other better places. Sometimes it is not as bad as we think. Some of the nicest people I have ever know have felt loneliness, and they are very okay people.

Things get better the minute we stop expecting them to be perfect.

You are a great poet, Chrissie. Always a fan here.

Great job of showing emotions that are lost sometimes in our inner thoughts. I have felt the same way as what you are writing about in this eye opening poem. I think that's why I couldn't stop reading it. I read and reread it again. You have wonderful talent. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Astra! I love the feedback especially about the difference between being lost and a lost cause. I think you are right sometimes we can feel like a lost cause, but there is always hope for everyone. Being lost is scary at the time of it happening, but being lost also means that you will be found. Things really do get better when we step back and let them. As always I enjoy reading your comments. I hope things are going good for you.

Hey Mikie, thanks for the wonderful feedback. I think my inner most emotions inspire me the most. It must be because it is me on a deep super personal level. It is me in my most vulnerable state. It is my inner sadness, loneliness, happiness, and fear. Our own minds are scary yet beautiful places that shape our own personal part of the world. Thank you so much for reading and I hope things are well for you.

Always write about your feelings, because it's not wrong to feel those things. And you write about them so well and you articulate and express them so openly. So many people don't know how to do that, or they are afraid and they just present a "front" as a substitute. Honesty is so rare to find these days. Honest writers are the best writers.

I am well, and thank you for saying that. Have a sweet day, Chrissie.
