Meaning

By Tony DeLorger © 2012

A kiss can spell a thousand words,

a touch reveal a heart,

a sigh reveal intention,

a hug in love a start.

But kindness, respect and caring,

imbues a life to share,

in happiness and contentment,

the self just disappears.

Instead a oneness activates,

an understanding mind,

and whatever is faced within this pact,

no harm can bind or blind.

For love is like a seed that grows

within a loving soul,

and a seasoned heart can know its needs,

and nurture it to whole.

Whatever comes in life from here,

my sworn and loving oath,

shall I be here no matter what,

for in you I've found my hope.

It is not a need that draws me close,

nor fulfilment I've not obtained,

simply the will to share my life with you,

my heart content remains.

Perfection never makes my bed,

nor pushes me to blame,

but what we have is far greater than,

I could ever expect to gain.

I Love you.

This is beautiful! Your use of words reminds me of an artist with a pallet of colors to choose from. Very nice and voted up!
