Meeting A Friend - Part 1

It could have been in this country they met ... | Source

Two young people

From two different countries

Speaking the same language

Met in a foreign country

With a foreign language

They became friends

Discovered the world together

Laughing and learning

Meeting new friends

Having the time of their lives

This cold January evening

They went out in the town

Drinking and dancing

All through the night

Without knowing

Somebody was watching them

A young man from the town

Saw two girls dancing

He had not seen them around before

And asked how they where doing

He invited them home

For a cup of vanilla tea

A new friendship was born

Between a young man

And two young women

But what was his intentions?

Nobody could tell

Only he knows that today

There seems to be a darkness to this....am I imagining it? I was feeling pretty good about this new friendship and then the dark stranger entered the picture. Something I have found with good poetry is the way it elicits different responses and feelings from different readers. Excellent job Made!

The poem begins with a wonderful feelings of friendship and love then suddenly ends into a dark anarchy.

Made, this is wonderful!

Is there darkness to this? I can only see the movie Taken in this if it's true. Otherwise, hope it is a good friendship instead. You are keeping us in suspense!

teaches12345, I have not seen that movie. There's a part 2 and 3 of this story, but I'm not sure they reveal everything ... Thank you!
