Meeting A Friend - Part 3

A vanilla tea friendship

Was what she needed

The two of them together

Sometimes with another woman

Who was their friend too

Three young people

From three different countries

Meeting to eat, drink and talk

For hours and hours to come

She really needed this

After having the message

That the love of her life

Forever will be gone

All the plans she had made

For their future together

Had been sucked away

Into a big, black hole

Somewhere unreachable

This new friendship

That started with

A cup of vanilla tea

In the middle of the night

Far away from home

Must have had a purpose

When it was just the two of them

His intentions were probably

To look for an adventure

His girlfriend couldn't give him

(Yes, he had one)

When it was just the two of them

Her intentions were probably

To seek comfort in his arms

That she couldn't get anymore

(Her boyfriend was gone)

They needed each other

Like flowers need the rain

For a dry period of time

When the heat is too much to stand

While drinking vanilla tea

They were healing their bruises

That were hidden under their skin

And they both knew

Already then

That one day

All this would end

Saying goodbye

To each other at last

Meant saying hello

To life again

When taking a sip of vanilla tea now

She remembers those days so clearly

And sometimes she misses

Those vanilla tea moments

And wonders:

Does he remember and miss them too?

Their common history

Still is a mystery

And that's how it will remain

What a surprising twist and ending. I'm sure I'm not the only one who conjured up a different ending to this three part saga. Well done Made!

Voted up, awesome and interesting.
