Together we are united in faith and strong in what we may accomplish for our future world and its people of all faiths.

Today marks a wonderful tribute, this to the human race and its religions,

A multi-faith congregation remembered the most fateful day, that on 9|11.

The Pope, Francis, of Rome...the speakers, representing faiths, world wide,

Islamic, Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, others...joined hands, as a gift from heaven.

The religious faiths of this world stood in unison, expressing love, their cares,

A sign sent by the hand of our God...a hope of human kind, united in prayers.

Francis, a great reflection of the holy spirit, the goodness shared by one and all,

His spoken words of hope and brotherhood...stirred our souls to answer his call.

Its grand significance, mirroring the Lord God's own heart...is ours to so remember,

And the lost in body, yet, never in soul...those who perished there that September.

Forever in our thoughts and memories, the beloved ones, now, who we shall miss,

A terrible loss, this human cost...as we're saddened, we each go on, all to reminisce.

New York's wonderful memorial...all reverently bow heads, names read, those intered,

God's own spirit there...as the creator watches from celestial heights, heaven, revered.

What truth is found in this tribute, so marvelous, resplendent...the shining spiritual light,

Gives credence to the likeness of all mankind...their needs sought in the day and night.

This is a beautiful reminder of the strength of the human spirit. We band together in times of tragedy. Let's keep that bond alive every day.

Beautiful spirit of unity and faith reflected here. Just wish we could do it more often even in good times.
