Memories (poem)
Who knew the dance of memories
Each star reflected memories
Each heartbeat brought more memories
As lovers took their stroll
-
They sailed upon their memories
Each kiss was built on memories
Each scent another whim to please
As love fulfilled its roll
-
Delighting in their memories
Where others who had sought for these
In hopes to bring about some ease
To unrest in their soul
-
Who knew the long and dreary nights
Who knew of endless appetites
Who knew of candles without lights
As darkness took control
-
Two lovers lost in hopelessness
So torn from what they once caress
Won’t heaven hear their loneliness
As teardrop take their toll
-
When all had brought them to their knees
A gentle song refreshed the breeze
A pathway to those memories
Which kept the lovers whole
