Men Can Dream Too!
Dreams from far away brought closer....
Some dreams are in the eyes....
What is in a glance?
Dreams are there, and waiting still.
Yes, men can dream too!
When I was young so long ago,
I dreamed I would marry an American Indian princess.
It was a persistent daydream, eyes open, wide awake.
"A fantasy" some would say.
But they don't know that men can dream too.
When I thought "It's time to get married.
"She's a good woman, a good mother-candidate."
I married and found she was indeed,
and a good sister-candidate too.
Brother-Sister (that kind) can be legally Husband-Wife.
But, brothers and sisters can be miles apart unchanged.
Husbands and wives (the real kind) can't accept that.
Wives and husbands (the other kind) part.
It's too short a step to "you choose yours, I mine."
But dreams live on, at least the wide awake kind.
One day, in a land far away, the dream rode by.
Wide awake dreams can be pursued.
I thought I knew why I was there.
God knew better.
