Micro Poem - (No.8) Five Times A Day
Warning, contains adult themes!
At one time I was publishing these micro-poems at a rate of one a month. They were popular with my followers and challenging but fun to write, however the word count doesn't measure up to HubPage requirements and they don't tend to generate regular traffic. For this reason I stop writing new ones as I have to keep updating them to keep them featured.
I still think it's worth doing that as they are a little different to anything else I have read on HubPages and may still have an audience.
Five Times A Day
by John Hansen © 2013
What's that you say?
You want it how much,
Five times a day?
This ain't no rabbit hutch.
I love you dearly,
But I don't think I can.
No, not really,
I'm not Superman.
Maybe I could pop a pill,
But is that the answer?
It takes desire and will,
To be a sweet romancer.
I think even billybuc,
Would simply say,
"I wish you luck,
But five times a day?"
"I'll give it my best shot", I'd say.
But you still won't pay my wages,
Despite writing five poems a day,
For you, my dear Hub Pages.

I hope this poem inspires and encourages people to be the change they want in the world. To treat everyone with love and respect, to fight against greed and corruption, and always think positive.
This poem was inspired by one stanza of verse I was hired to write for a client. I thought the topic of "love in a street gang" very interesting and decided to write an entire poem around it.
It is often said that with all the improved communications like the Internet and social media, fast news services etc, that the world is getting smaller. If so, why are we getting lonelier?
